Lets Make Art!

We are very happy to have been a part of the Arts for Hearts show organised by Lets Make Art back in February.  I was asked alongside 11 other prominent artists to design a poster for kids that they could colour in during the show.

I wanted kids to have fun discovering animals hidden in the undergrowth.

The poster designs were made into a colouring book that was available during the event and all proceeds went to the British Heart Foundation.  Children and their families went wild with pens and enjoyed taking part in this fantastic weekend which took place at The Island, Bristol.

Whilst looking for a new studio space in Barcelona I have also been sketching a lot and searching for new styles and inspiration for the next season.

Here is a sneak preview, a selection of close up photos of some paintings I have been doing.  I have a hunch, this year is going to be an even better one!  Happy New Year to you all!

Printing Pretty

My arms are aching after a mammoth month in the print studio dying and printing the winter collection which is available in shops now.  Here are some pics to wet your appetite.

The latest line offers powerful prints in a rich array of colours.

There are three design styles, polka dots, roses and subtle geometrics.  Each accessory consists of a two colour print and the silk scarves have been beautifully finished with a stroke of gold.  The silks are all hand finished with a rolled hem. The cotton handkerchiefs are sold individually and presented in a hand printed sleeve.

These designs are offered for this season only and will not be produced again, so if anything catches your eye, you’d better grab it quick!  Stockists so far are Soma in Clifton village, Makers Colston Street and they will also be available to buy online from the Studio Amour website very soon, so keep posted.
